Dunedin-Kaka Point-Alexandra-Twinzel

Unfortunately, we couldn't go to Invercargill and the southern part of the South Island is still flooded. Even Milford Sound is currently closed due to flooding. So we only made it to Kaka Point, which was very beautiful, but the road there had many damaged parts and the fields were flooded from the storm. Then we continued on to Alexandra and Twinzel, a very scenic drive with lots of passes and lookouts. Just before Twinzel, we found a beautiful spot to stay overnight at Lake Ruataniwha. It was quite warm during the day, around 22°C, but the night was freezing at around -5°C.
