Today I'm feeling better again and we want to go to Tayrona National Park today. The park reopens today after a long break. Tayrona National Park in northern Colombia is a large protected area that stretches across the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta on the Caribbean coast. The park is known for its palm-fringed bays, coastal lagoons, rainforest and rich biodiversity.

But First Breakfast…. With a great view, there is fruit, banana pancakes, cheese croissants and coffee.

We took the taxi, which we called Carlos from yesterday, to the main entrance of the national park for 30,000 pesos. Here we have to pay 6,000 pesos for insurance???? No idea what is insured🤣 and 73,500 pesos entrance fee (all per person) and the pass is registered.

Then you pay another 5,000 pesos for a shuttle. The route is supposed to be 2.5 km, but in reality it is over 4 km, so it's a good thing we took the shuttle. The humidity is as high as in a sauna. The first beach we reach, Playa Canaveral, is deserted.

No wonder, you're not allowed to swim here and a few people have probably drowned.

We continue to Playa La Piscinata. Here too we are pretty much alone. We find a nice spot in the shade.

The water is warm like a bathtub and Caribbean turquoise blue...

Today, for once, it doesn't rain in the afternoon and we spend some time in the pool.

Dinner again with a fantastic view.
