Hildegard

Today Hildegard was in the spotlight.

Already yesterday she worried me. Something made a grinding noise while driving, which definitely doesn't belong there. Since it is only about an hour's drive to Reykjavik, the Honda center there was our point of contact. I called in the morning and was told that I can bring the motorcycle in during the day. Wonderful.

On the way there, we came across a rainbow, had beautiful mountain and cloud views again, and saw the smoke from the active volcano from a distance.

The workshop was able to help. A pebble had lodged itself in the brake pads of the front disc brake and caused the grinding noise. Additionally, the chain tension was too slack. Now everything is fine again.

The new accommodation is located in a very idyllic spot near Husafell, close to the highlands around the Langjökull and OK mountains. Now I can relax here after the excitement about my means of transportation.
