Yesterday we were in Ucluelet. Ucluelet is about 40 km away from Tofino. An old fishing village with 1600 inhabitants. We hiked the Lighthouse Trail. A beautiful path that runs along the rocky coast and is about 2.5 km long. It was a little windy but dry. Occasionally, the sun would peek out briefly. Afterwards, we had a coffee in the harbor of Ucluelet and on the way back we visited Kennedy Lake, the largest lake on the island. Back at the hotel, we sat in the sun for a while before going to Sobo in Tofino for dinner. Unfortunately, the food was nothing special. Mats had about 8 shrimp with dip and I had a pepperoni pizza, of which I gave him a piece. Apart from that, it was still very tasty. We spent the evening with a walk on the beach and watching a movie on the tablet via Sky.
This morning we were woken up by our neighbors around 5 o'clock. First, he had a coughing fit and later both went to the terrace and talked as if it were a sunny afternoon.
Actually, Matthias and I are now so well rested that we would like to do something more active. In hindsight, we would go back to Tofino, but for a maximum of 3 days and then spend the rest of the time in Victoria, where there is simply more life.
