I continued my journey to Idrija, a small town where mercury used to be mined, after enjoying a rich breakfast at this family's house in the countryside of Čirni Vrh. The landscape was rather flat and sparsely populated with farms. Finally, there was a steep descent to the Ljubljanca River. The path followed a canal-like channel to the village of Idrija for a long time. Since this stage is short, I played with the idea of visiting Ljubljana by bus along the way. (The idea comes from Madeleine). Why not, since I'm already here! The people here in the city are different. I think that's no different from us. Anyway, it was worth experiencing the atmosphere here. It's very busy here, especially for a Wednesday. And it's also holiday season. Many hotels were fully booked. Today, there will be a city stroll and the return journey to Idrija, where a long stage awaits me tomorrow.
