Yoga, Meditation and Ashram Life in Maharashtra

After 2 months of paradise work-life balance in Goa, I plunge into the 'real' India. In Gokarna, I met Swamiji alias African Baba, a Sadhu from the Himalayas, and Maria, alias Minakshi, from Russia. Now I am visiting both of them in their ashram in the mountains in Maharashtra. < br />

The journey begins on an overnight bus from Margao to Karad, where Gajendra, an acquaintance of Swami, receives and picks me up on his bike at 4:30 in the morning and takes me to his family's guesthouse. There, I can recover from the wild bus ride and enjoy delicious Rajastani Thali in my room. Later, Maria and Swami join. But before going to the ashram, we go on an adventurous trip to a temple on a hill. From bus to tuk-tuk to rickshaw to hitchhiking with a truck, we use all means of transportation to finally arrive at the temple just in time for sunset. < br />
