On Thursday afternoon, we went with the girls and Escher in Emily and Moni with their girls to Gelateria Paulangelo in Rüdlingen. Gelati as made in Italy! 🍦😋

Bike tour from Flaach to the Rhine Falls

On Friday afternoon, Berni and I went with Emily to the parking lot at the Thur river just after Flaach, with the bikes strapped to the back. After a little refreshment in the shade, we rode the bikes to Ellikon am Rhein and along the river to Rheinau. After a short distance through Germany, we arrived at the Rhine Falls. We briefly admired the spectacle with numerous tourists before heading back.

Canopy walkway in Mogelsberg

On Saturday, a family outing was planned ☀️🚐💨🌲👨‍👩‍👧‍👧! Emily was packed up and off we went towards Uster, Bauma, over Hulftegg to Bütschwil and Mogelsberg.

The impressive walkway in the middle of the forest is between 4 and 15 meters high, the viewing platform even 55 meters, and offers a wonderful view. The beautifully landscaped park offers many picnic areas and barbecue spots.

However, we found a nice spot on the Thur river in Bazenheid with Emily. There, sausages and snake bread were roasted over the fire and we relaxed in the shade.

On the way home, Berni took me through Kirchberg, Fischingen, up towards Schmidrüti, Wila, Rikon, Dettenried, Weisslingen, Agasul, Illnau-Effretikon, and back to Bülach. 🚐➿...

A nice outing but a slightly long and winding journey home... 😊
