Monteverde

The next day we continued with the shuttle to Santa Elena.

On the way, we made a stop at the Crocodile Bridge, where you can see crocodiles, as the name suggests.

Only in the evening did I reach my hostel where we spent the evening playing cards.

In the morning, I took the bus to the Nevekwald of Santa Elena, the hiking trails through the small park were beautiful, but my expectations were a little too high, because apart from a hummingbird and a few beautiful butterflies, I couldn't see any other animals, but I wasn't the only one.

The next day we went to the Canopy, the many zip lines were great, especially the Superman, where you slide headfirst along the rope, was adventurous, but the most adrenaline was probably felt on the Tarzan Swing, where you jump from a platform to 50 meters height, until the rope catches you and turns it into a giant swing.

In the evening, we went on a night hike through the Monteverde National Park, where I finally saw the animals. Besides creepy crawlies like spiders and scorpions, we also saw a sloth, an opossum, and a snake.
