Today everything is (still) a bit calmer.
At 8:00 am I stand punctually in front of the café next to the hostel to have breakfast as agreed. Inside everything is dark. Did my Spanish not suffice again to understand the correct time?
Then Francisco passes the hostel with 7 miles steps. We 'talk' as much as possible (he only speaks Spanish), but that doesn't affect our good mood and relationship. We read each other's faces and eyes, that's enough for us.
When he says goodbye, the café is still closed. Then the owner finally comes, opens the door calmly, and wishes me a nice day. It's only 8:15 am, and I was on the verge of getting upset... I need to remain calm (still). Luckily, I still have several stages to learn that.
The houses in the town and on the entire stage remind me of 'Cinque Terre', beautifully colorful.
The wooden sign at the town exit shows me the direction for 'my Camino'.
Today there are ups and downs again, but first of all, I have deliberately chosen it like that, and secondly, my mood always stays high.
I reach one bay after another ----- wonderful, lonely. How does it look on the official Camino, I don't care, I have made the best choice for myself.
Luck is on my side again. Not only the weather is great, but also in a particularly beautiful bay, a café is open, you know..... a cortado. Time for a short video for my boules friends and a birthday boy, Thomas. He replied to my birthday message and asked how things have been going for me in the meantime. I think the video says it all.
On the way, I come across a hotel named 'Fernando'. The fox, I think of my Spanish friend at home, has built a second pillar in beautiful Asturias.
The picture with the 3 doors shows how different the condition of the houses in a town can be: normal, pretty, and broken/for sale.
In the early afternoon, I reach my destination. A fellow pilgrim tells me that Francisco has also stayed here. Considering that the dinner is very good and the price is very small, I think and hope that we will meet here soon.
