Heading to the South Island

प्रकाशित भइल बा: 05.03.2019

Today was a long day, that's why I'm writing now...

The ferry to the South Island was booked for 1:30 p.m. today, so I had plenty of time to kill.

However, it turned out to be quite entertaining, because two Austrians whom I met in Whanganui yesterday evening also showed up at the campsite. And they also booked a ferry for today...

So I had to be careful not to be late.

The ferry journey alone is a spectacle, because you also book a boat trip through the Marlborough Sound, which is not bad in this weather.

Unfortunately, the campsite on the South Island, where I had arranged to meet the Austrians, was completely full, so I spontaneously decided to drive to Nelson. Maybe we'll meet somewhere again...

And the drive through New Zealand's wine region was also nice.

Due to the bad weather forecast for the coming week, I'm currently puzzling over what to do.

In any case, I have decided to go to Abel Tasman Park tomorrow, which I actually wanted to do on Friday, but bad weather is also forecasted for that day.

Well, maybe it will be different than what the forecast says...

In this sense: bonne nuit, bonne nuit to you all! ;-)
