Detour Day 2: to the Marmolada

My fear of the weather holding was unfounded. It's perfect weather and since it rained the night before, the visibility is great. Giuliano picked me up at the Rifugio with two Italians and we took the funicular up to about 2,600 m. From there, we went up the glacier. The panoramic view was spectacular, you could see Langkofel and Sella Group from Punta Penia (3,343 m) from above. It was a very nice day and a safe tour.
