Day 5 from Jerez to the Atlantic coast

Today we wanted to take it easy, 60km. From Jerez we headed towards Cadiz, Google said we could ride our bikes over the bridge from the mainland, but our cycling app had a different opinion. It's really convenient 😉. The bridge is closed to bicycles, the alternative is a long detour or a short trip on the ferry. We chose the ferry because we wanted to see Cadiz.

We rode/pushed our bikes through the city. Then we were lucky to see a Semana Santa procession in Cadiz, the red hoods are reminiscent of old movies...

From Cadiz, we are more or less on the Euro Velo 8, the Mediterranean route.

Finally, a hostel right by the sea with a view of the sea. A beautiful sunset and the bikes sleep on the balcony 😉
