Summer is coming

Last week, apart from a hailstorm yesterday, we had only good weather and it's slowly getting really warm here. Since Ingrid was accepted into the jury for a court case on Monday, we picked her up on Tuesday after she finished and had a barbecue at the beach with Glen. That was really cool and because the weather was so nice, we weren't the only ones doing it, but we were lucky and found a free grill. On Wednesday, we biked to Hastings and had ice cream at Rush Munros. The ice cream there is really incredibly good and they have such big scoops that it's hard to finish two of them :D

On Friday, we went to Te Mata Peak again, but this time we hiked up. The view was better than the first time, despite some clouds, and the trail was really beautiful.

Yesterday, Zayn had a party at his place and introduced us to some of his friends, and then this morning, we went to the beach with him and he tried to teach us how to surf. I haven't managed to stand up yet, but it was still incredibly cool, even though it was damn cold. But now that summer is just beginning, we'll definitely do it more often and I'll eventually stand up properly. :)
