Morocco is a small world!
We've joked from time to time that we'll definitely meet most of the people who also went to Morocco again. This has now proven true for three people! It's fun to write this!
When we were in Cabo del Gata, we met Diana from Graz, who was initially a little afraid of entering Morocco because the stories about women traveling alone had put her off. She then left and we didn't know what became of her because unfortunately we hadn't exchanged numbers.
We noticed a truck right at the harbor in Algeciras, because shortly before we had been texting back and forth with our neighbors from Traunstein about Morocco via WhatsApp, Gisela and Heinz said that we would definitely meet their friends too. That was really the case, Moni and Mike used the same ferry, but then after exchanging cell phone numbers they drove south, where we then headed east.
But the world of Morocco travelers is relatively small and manageable, especially when you go on a tour, you often see the same motorhomes that you have already seen somewhere. The LT from Belgium, who had already accommodated us near Meknes, accompanied us in Tarfaoute and also in Zagora, although only for one night each. Other drivers always wave to us, especially in the east, which is common practice because not many people come there.
When we were in Talioune, the surprise came because Moni and Mike were there for one night. We sat down in their truck that evening and had a really nice chat; it was one of the best evenings of the trip. The next day they drove to the Ammeln valley, where we continued to Taroudannt. But we'll definitely see each other again, because we usually know where everyone else is based on their status in WhatsApp.
Today came the nice, super-funny surprise, because we had just talked yesterday about whether Diana from Graz really went to Morocco and how she fared there. TODAY in the café I see a bus with a Graz license plate and my eyes almost pop out of my head because that was her!
We then met her and chatted again. Afterwards we'll go for a coffee because NOW I have her number.
Near Marrakech we met the two travelers from Hildburghausen again who had kindly given us duct tape in Zagora to make repairs to some parts easier. The world is small, this time great and expert help came again!
The world is small and it's a lot of fun!
