What worked neither in 2 hotels nor at 2 airports worked in the Amazon rainforest: transferring photos😂. From Salvador we fly with a stop in Fortaleza, where we are greeted by a well-known purple cow🤣, to the Amazon metropolis Manaus. We visit the famous opera house, built at the end of the 19th century and a magnet for many famous artists. After the approximately 30-year rubber boom, until about 1910, this once magnificent city went downhill. Today it is the starting point for jungle tourism. We found a great restaurant at the opera house with the most delicious fish we have ever eaten, the Tambaqui, and very good draft beer. The locals at the harbor like to enjoy 2 liters of hops juice together for lunch, in the beer garden😂. In the trendy pub 'Amando' you will find lawyers, doctors, people from all walks of life and tourists. After a tropical rain shower, the streets are completely flooded and umbrellas sell well. Plastic trinkets also sell well, and to compensate, recycling is done like crazy😝.
