Antelope Canyon

Today I'll let the pictures do the talking 😅 Briefly, we traveled from Flagstaff to Page. On the way here, we wanted to book a tour for the lower Antelope Canyon. Once again, in the middle of nowhere, just when we were about to pay, the connection was lost. Back in civilization, all tours for today and tomorrow were fully booked. 🙄
Arriving in Flagstaff, our first stop was at the Glen Canyon Dam. We crossed the bridge, went through the Carl Hayden Visitor Center, and then headed to the hotel. Unfortunately/fortunately, we arrived early and couldn't check-in yet. Back at the car, I checked again with Dixie's Lower Antelope Canyon Tours and lo and behold, there were a few available spots for the 3:15 pm tour. We immediately booked it. We had a quick snack at Subway, then headed to the meeting point. From here on, look at the pictures. We had a really cool guide named Brian, who showed us the best spots for photos. Can you find the seahorse, the smiling shark (or as the annoying person next to us said, a smelling shark 🫨??? 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️), or the heart? Thanks to Brian, we also found out that the North Rim, which was my plan for tomorrow, is still closed due to snowfall. You wouldn't believe it. It's 29 degrees here today, and the Grand Canyon North Rim is closed because of snow. 🙄 So, change of plans, but you'll find out where we're going tomorrow 😉
After the tour, we quickly checked into the hotel, checked the room, and headed to Horseshoe Bend. Always beautiful. On the way back, we made a tiny detour to Walmart and now, we're putting our feet up, reading a book, and relaxing 🙂
