Day 35: Coral Bay - Carnarvon - Nerren Nerren

Today it's time to say goodbye to the Ningaloo Reef. Now we're heading back to Perth. Our plan is to make the trip with two overnight stays (Nerren Nerren and Cervantes).

Michi says goodbye to the children at the playground. We have a hearty breakfast and go to the small shopping center in Coral Bay. At the bakery, we buy something sweet for the road.

We make a stop in Carnarvon. We replenish our supplies at Woolworths and the Bottle Store. Then we go to the playground at the harbor. We have a picnic before we continue.

Originally, we wanted to refuel at the Wooramel Roadhouse. But it's closed. Fortunately, we still have enough fuel to get to the Overlander Roadhouse (beautiful sunset & twilight landscape). Today, we drive a longer distance after sunset. We arrive at the rest area in Nerren Nerren around 8:30 PM. There are a few campers here, but it's not very crowded.

We cook rice pudding and the kids want to go to bed as soon as possible. Today, for the first time, we didn't take any photos.
