Day 25: Mako/Hungary

Cloudy weather, some raindrops - a good day to drive!

Today, we left the group a day early. Going back to Timisoara was not an option for us. Instead, we drove all the way to Hungary, spent all our lei beforehand, and now we are parked on a small spot by the bank of an idyllic stream in the town of Mako. The owner speaks very good German. Yesterday evening, just to be sure, we called and asked if the spot is still open.

There is only one other motorhome here besides us. It's also from Germany (PF) and is basically a close relative of our motorhome (also a Knaus). In 5 minutes walking distance, there is supposedly a very good and affordable restaurant that we will try tonight.

Tomorrow, we will continue. We are not yet sure whether we will have another overnight stay in Austria or drive until just behind the German border.
