After a longer stay in Potsdam - which was also very nice - we started our longest stage so far at the beginning of September. We want to travel from South France to Spain and Portugal. In South France, where the grape harvest had just begun, our first destination was Lascoux. Here we visited 15,000-year-old cave paintings and were deeply impressed. The nearly 4-hour multimedia and live guide tour for €65 for our whole family was worth every cent and wasn't boring for our youngest (5 years old) for a single second. From here, we continued to Lourdes, the largest pilgrimage site in Europe. Approximately 5 million visitors come to the Pyrenees every year, and this year we are also among them, although we weren't completely thrilled, somehow we had the impression that profitability was very prominent. However, I was truly impressed by a procession of hundreds of believers who entered the huge underground basilica singing and celebrated a mass there. From Lourdes, we continued to the seaside town of Biaritz, the pearl on the Atlantic Ocean.
