Auckland, yippee

The bus ride from the airport to our Airbnb feels like heaven. No honking, only one car per lane, and no cows on the road, but also incredibly expensive!

In our Airbnb, the bed is so heavenly soft, we sleep from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, oops! Quickly freshen up and take the bus to the city center of Auckland. Our destination: Noodles Festival! On the way, we pass by a free concert and stop in fascination. Everyone here is laughing and dancing to the music. We can't help but sing and dance along.

Hungry, we arrive at the Noodles Festival and watch as everyone sits on the ground, talking and eating, with a view of the famous Skytower of Auckland. We join them.

Exhausted, we fall into bed around midnight.

The next morning, we hike up Mount Eden, the tallest volcanic crater in Auckland. No, it's not made of volcano stones and lava but of grass and trees. The only thing that reminds us of a volcano is the green crater instead of the mountain peak. From up here, we can see all of Auckland. This city is huge, although it mostly consists of small family houses or apartment blocks, except for the center.

We continue to explore Auckland on foot and end up with a severe sunburn. Unimaginable in India... We should have researched that there is a huge ozone hole above New Zealand.
