Today we continued to Taichung in the west of Taiwan with the HSR (High Speed Rail). We rented a car again right at the train station for the onward journey to Sun-Moon Lake. This time the rental process was much faster, unfortunately the next hurdle is definitely ahead of us -> refueling. In Taiwan, you don't have to return the rental car fully fueled, so it can happen, like now with us, that the tank is only half full. There is a card for refueling with 2 different companies, you don't have to pay for it because the fuel is paid based on the mileage when returning.
The drive to the lake took about 1.5 hours. Shortly before arriving at our hotel at the lake, we visited the Wenwu Temple (our 5th by now). This has been the largest and most beautiful temple we have visited so far.
For dinner, as usual in Taiwan, we went to the night market. We are now a little more adventurous and try something, but only what looks accordingly. Today it was Egg-Burger (an exciting preparation method), pork skewer, pancake filled and grilled with leek (also very delicious).
