Hello everyone (nĭménhăo)

We have been in Shanghai for almost three months now and finally found our long-term home. Starting in December, we will move into our new apartment with 5 rooms and a huge rooftop terrace, perfect for relaxation. We realized that we need the space to feel comfortable. As nice as our current apartment is, it's too small! It will also be better for the dogs as they can play on the terrace and the compound has large lawns. There is also an outdoor pool, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and a badminton court. So there are plenty of activities to do.

Last weekend was both enjoyable and exhausting. On Friday, we had a housewarming party for the new teachers with beer and sausages under the theme of 'Oktoberfest'. On Saturday, we were invited for dinner and then went to a three-part themed party called 'World Trip'. They are true party animals here. They not only work hard but also know how to party. The over-30 crowd goes wild here ;-)

Next weekend, we will host a gathering at our place. Next week, there will be school trips: I will go to Beijing for a week, Niu will go to Xiamen. Sumitta will explore Shanghai and take care of the dogs. As you can see, there will definitely be no boredom here!

Our upcoming vacations are now confirmed:

December 2019: South Vietnam

January 2020: Thailand

April/May 2020: Philippines

July/August 2020: Borneo.

We are really looking forward to them.

In two weeks, we will go on a day trip to the mountains with the dogs to finally see some nature. It's a rare commodity in Shanghai! Fresh air and real nature...
