I'm not a planless person. This can be seen in the strategic and well-thought-out expansion of my camper: first I gained travel experience in Australia and New Zealand with a rented camper, then I bought my own vehicle, I implemented the expansion according to the collected specifications and finally I took test drives for verification.
Now it's finally time for the final, aimless step: a bigger trip. As an enthusiastic landscape photographer, your goal is not only to find beautiful motifs on the mountains and valleys of the world, but also to have pleasant weather and light for the right mood. From here on the route is no longer predictable, but rather I let the weather forecast guide me. Unfortunately, the lack of planning is against my nature, but it promotes the results of my hobby of photography.
In order to avoid the German winter, my “planned” travel route was the south of Europe through Italy, France, Spain and Portugal with the final destination in Morocco.
What do you take with you on a trip like this: the right clothes including mother's self-knitted stockings against cold days, a minimum of cooking utensils with a few basic foods that can be stored, tools for unforeseeable incidents and of course valuable electronics such as laptops and smartphones.
Is the planned storage space enough for all these things?
Yes, there is even a little space for any souvenirs for those left behind. What's more likely, however, is that the space will quickly fill up with useful items that I've forgotten.
So, now it starts. Let's see whether the expansion concepts also prove successful in practice.
