'Mama, how much further?'
To describe this day, I need to start with a few words about camping life. We travel shortly after the main season, so all campsites usually have plenty of available spots. Since driving at sunset is not recommended due to kangaroos, we usually head to the nearest top-rated campsite around 4:30 PM. Everything is in order, everything is good.
Being late on the road means not only an unpleasant drive but apparently also closed camping offices. So we had to step on the gas to be admitted to the campsite this evening, where we will be picked up at 7:20 AM the next morning. Our plan to go surfing in Agnes Water did not work out. It's a pity, because here in 1770 we could have also had a beautiful and worth-seeing day. However, we managed to check in at the campsite at the last minute. It's already dark at 6 PM. So we quickly showered, cooked, ate, and typically went to bed around 9 PM. The birds are up and singing at 6 AM, and the neighbors are getting up. Very unusual times for our daily routine.
