Germany, friends and relatives. We want to see them on our trip.
Today we're going to visit Uncle Ernst. Ernst is the second oldest of the four siblings of my mother-in-law Erika.
He lives in Neuenkirchen, Habichtshorst 2, near Osnabrück. If you want to go there, you can find it here.
The journey there was quite unpleasant. Seems like there was a lot of traffic on the way back. On a Sunday! People don't follow the rules anymore. Saturday is changing beds!
Ernst invited us to have a meal here. The lady in pink is called Ilse and has been Ernst's partner since the 80s.
The traffic jams on the motorways convinced us not to head straight to beautiful Bochum, but to make a detour to Osnabrück.
By the way, the Peace of Westphalia was negotiated there and in Münster for eight(!) years, which is not widely known.
In this context, I'd like to recommend a book.
A challenging book about the Thirty Years' War, brilliantly written.
Selfie, without fingers in front of the lens, in front of one of the churches in Osnabrück.
We did eventually find the pretty part of Osnabrück.
