Tag 120: Trekking to the One-legged Fishermen and Floating Villages

Апублікавана: 06.07.2018

This morning we were woken up at 6:30 am by our guide. After a quick breakfast, we set off in very light drizzle. Our destination for today was Inle Lake. We walked for 5 hours over some mountains (rather big hills) until we spotted the lake on the horizon. On the way, we visited a primary school and Tada explained a lot about the education system here. By now, the light rain had stopped and we made good progress. After 4.5 hours, we reached a small village where we got some more food to eat. From there, we took a small boat across a canal to Inle Lake. There, the boat driver took a small detour to see the one-legged fishermen, which are typical here. After the boat ride and a short walk, we arrived at our hostel where we picked up our big backpacks. We relaxed, rested, and walked around the city in the evening. By chance, we unexpectedly met Victor. He studies in our semester and is also traveling here with his girlfriend.
