We want more sea (and pizza)

We woke up quite early, but still had to hurry to get everything ready for the journey by 10 am. But we managed it. Yeay 🥳

Since we could only check in at 3 pm in Pisa, we decided to explore the coast of Pisa. We drove past the harbor and many entrances to the beach. All parking spaces on the roadside were occupied, but also chargeable. After a short time, however, there were also free parking spaces and some of them were still available 🅿️🚘 Another Yeay 🥳

Then we spontaneously stopped, grabbed sunscreen, a bottle of water, a picnic blanket, and a beach tent, and walked towards the beach. The entrance led to a beach club, but also to a free beach. Things are going well for us. We set up the beach tent a bit inconveniently, put the picnic blanket inside, and quickly applied sunscreen. Then we already dipped our feet in the water 🌊🏖

I love the sea, it was so beautiful 😍 And the waves were sometimes quite high. Considering that we didn't have swimwear with us, we got quite wet 🌊😂 Especially when collecting seashells, the biggest waves came and wanted to eat us 🌊

At 2 pm, we headed back to the car and first looked for something to eat. After the sea, I really craved fries 🍟, so we actually wanted to go to a burger place 🍔. We could only park at Pisa Central Station, practically for free thanks to a half-hour ticket still running from a Norwegian couple 🇳🇴, which they gave to us as a gift. Yeay again 🥳

But there was a McDonald's at the train station and since we didn't have much time because the parking ticket would soon expire, we quickly grabbed something there and ate it on the lawn in front of the train station 🌱🌳🚉

The accommodation was not far away and we arrived on time for check-in at 3 pm. The hostess is really nice, the bed is comfortable, and the room is relatively large. The only problem is the baby gecko 🦎 chilling up there in one corner. The hostess had already spotted it at the beginning but couldn't catch it. Then it disappeared for a while. And now it's sitting so high up that we can't reach it. I'm a bit scared of the night and that it might climb into my bags 🥲🥺😅

For dinner, we had super delicious pizza from a nearby pizzeria, run by a super nice lady whom we chatted with a bit. As dessert, we also got a Tartufo ice cream 🍕🍫🥄

Otherwise, we sorted some stuff in the car as well as bags and backpacks 🧳🎒

We have also booked a quiz city tour for Pisa. Let's see how it goes 🙈📱 And soon we will book the accommodation for Genoa 🛏 There is not much to do in the room here and the Wi-Fi is rather bad. It will be enough for two nights. Since it's a B&B, at least we'll have breakfast tomorrow 😇😌

My legs are slowly recovering from all the mosquito bites. But yesterday, I got 5 new ones 😩 Let's see how it looks here 🦟
