So a few days have passed and the weather has been amazing for about a week now! ☀️
A few days ago, I encountered the biggest highlight of my life: dolphins 🐬 I knew about a small town that we would pass through on our route, and I read that you can see and feed dolphins there. The dolphins are not captured or forced to be in this place. It all started years ago: the grandfather of the dolphins that are now there, got injured by a shark attack in that place and asked for help. He received help there, was properly taken care of and healed. He then went back on his journey and a few days later, to our surprise, he returned with his whole family ☺️ Now, the third generation is there every morning at 7 o'clock. We were shown pictures where the dolphins bring gifts to the shore like glass bottles, wood, and stones, which they carry on their snout all the way there. You could compare it to a cat bringing a mouse home as a thank you 🙈 the dolphins swam lovingly between the legs of the narrator and patiently waited to be fed delicious fish by us, even if it was only for seconds. I will probably never forget this experience and the amazing story behind it! 💙
Then we continued to our next destination and the planned action.
SURFING was on the agenda 🏄🏼♀️ Well, what can I say? In my case, it couldn't really be called surfing 😁 I did stand-up paddling once in Germany, where I was actually quite good at it, so I thought I could maintain my balance. But no, it's sooo difficult and it takes a lot of strength just to stand upright on the surfboard, which I only managed to do once 😁. Nevertheless, the surf lesson with our instructors was a lot of fun and it only cost 17 dollars for a whole 4 hours!
Unfortunately, I had a little setback in the last two days, with severe headaches... it was very hot while surfing and we were exposed to the blazing sun, which my body couldn't handle very well. But now I'm back in shape. We found another great spot with showers (cold) and we've been here for two days now. Currently, we're mainly focused on job hunting. We decided to work again because we are "still" here for 8 weeks, but we're already almost at our destination, so we want to save money for Thailand once again 🥳
