The BCI is our partner organization and is recognized as a non-governmental organization. It operates the school currently located in Bupadhengo.
This idea arose when Jude decided more than 5 years ago to establish a school in the rural area where he grew up. He and his sister Mary lost their parents. As dictated by Ugandan culture and tradition, the father's siblings are also responsible for the children and take care of them. Thus, his uncle Caesar stepped in as the father figure and took the two in. He supported Jude and Mary's education. Caesar himself worked as a teacher. Jude, being a good student and also a successful football player, charted his own path. He was immensely encouraged and supported by missionary sisters along the way. This allowed him to graduate and pursue higher education. As a talented footballer, he also received financial support through a scholarship. From his own life experiences, he recognized the importance of education and support. This is his motivation for his commitment.
Together with Mary and Caesar, everything started. In Kampala, he then met Brenda. She was studying social work management for social organizations and was impressed by Jude's commitment and project. She then joined the BCI board. She also shared this with her sister Sandra, who worked in a bank. Sandra wanted to get involved right away and now manages the organization's finances. Jude was then searching for someone with construction expertise. Through a friend who knew Alexander, he met the civil engineer and subsequently made contact. Alexander is with a firm that realizes construction projects nationwide and was responsible for the planning and construction of the new bridge in Jinja and at Isimbadam, for example.
