Chillin in Auckland and finding a travel mate

Wednesday the 12th til Sunday the 15th of December: I arrived at my hostel (Oaklands Lodge, really nice!) in the early morning around 3:30 am, so mission Nr. 1 was: lay in. Managed to do that and had a day in the hostel garden, chillin in a hammock. The next days I was still feeling tired and didn't do much except for eating nice food and strolling around Auckland. The sundown from Mount Eden, which was just behind the hostel, was very nice. I didn't find the city very interesting, but I got to know nice people at the lodge and finally (after searching online for a while) I found my travel mate. Claudia from Hamburg had pretty much the same rough plans for the north and the south island and we had a great chemistry. So we sat together one morning and planed our road trip. As the camper vans were just too expensive, we decided to hire a car. We picked it up on Sunday and got going on Monday.
