Huacachina

Unfortunately, I spent my last day in Peru going to the desert. I took a 5-hour bus ride from Lima to Ica, where the desert is located.

After a long bus ride, I arrived at the oasis. In the middle, there is a lake where you can ride boats. There are many different restaurants and shops around.

After a small snack, I went on a buggy tour through the sand dunes. It was very fun but also really bumpy.

Upon arriving at the photo shooting spot, I had the opportunity to ride down the dunes on a sandboard. It turned out to be much more difficult than snowboarding, but it still worked more or less 🙈

The day was coming to an end. After dinner, I made my way to the bus that would take me to the airport. Of course, I missed the bus and arrived at the airport 30 minutes before my flight. Luckily, the flight was delayed by 1.5 hours, so I still made it. So, goodbye Peru for now and welcome to Tokyo.
