I did another free walking tour, Gastown and Granville Street. My hostel is located on Granville Street, one of the main streets with all kinds of restaurants and shops, right in the heart of Downtown.
What surprised me the most is that everything in Vancouver is really walkable, so we didn't take long to get to Gastown. Vancouver was founded by 'Gassy' Jack in Gastown. One highlight in Gastown was the Steam Clock, a clock powered by steam that plays a song every 15 minutes.
During the tour, I met Kathrin from Berlin, who has a 1-year visa for Canada and also lives in my hostel.
In the evening, I went to the Vancouver Art Gallery with her. Let's just say it was a good thing that there was a promotion that day where you could pay as much money for the entry as you wanted 😂
As the end of our day, we treated ourselves to a couple of beers at the Beaver Bar downstairs at the hostel.
