Day 4.6: Newlyn - Penzance

Nəşr edilmişdir: 17.06.2022

Today we had to leave our beautiful accommodation in Newlyn after three days. What a shame.

We continued on foot along the promenade towards Penzance. Due to the sea mist, St Michael's Mount was very visible as it stood out from the coast behind it. Like its 'brother' in Normandy, this one can also be visited on foot at low tide. But for now, it could only be guessed at 'behind' Penzance in the distance...

The next attraction was the Jubilee Pool in Penzance. It was built in 1935 in the Art Deco style to celebrate the 25th anniversary of King George V's reign. Still very pretty to look at.

In Penzance itself, we only briefly walked through the shopping street and then to the bus station. We met up with Sue and Allan in Marazion. They happen to be on a camping holiday here. The world is small...

We continued by bus to our accommodation for the night in Praa Sands, right on the beach. Wonderful
