After being able to relax and enjoy the last few days, it is now time to say goodbye to the idyllic Sacacomie. We set our sights on the next destination - Quebec. According to the travel guide, it is the first officially founded city in North America in 1608 by the French.

And so we set our GPS and enter Quebec as our destination. We have about 200km or 2.5 hours of driving ahead of us. Without much effort, we find ourselves in front of the city walls, which surround the entire Old Town. We pass through the East Gate and maneuver ourselves to the accommodation at Chateau Bellevue in the heart of Quebec.

We hand over our car keys at the reception. They will park the vehicle on their private property (wherever that is). But it doesn't matter, we will explore the city on foot anyway. With our luggage stored in the room, we head straight to the city.

We catch sight of a lively, hilly, and well-maintained Old Town with many alleys, shops, churches, and venerable buildings right on the Saint Lawrence River. Like in Montreal, there are many street artists entertaining the countless tourists. But above all, the majestic wooden pier around the city is impressive. We continue a bit further and find a cool bar in the harbor area. Time for a little break :)

We then try to find a restaurant for dinner. There is definitely no shortage of restaurants, but there is a lack of space inside. It's Friday night and everything is full. But finally, we find one. Funny enough, they even offer fondue. We think for a moment and agree, we want to try it. We discuss with anticipation whether it was the right decision. Conclusion: it was, because the fondue was 'surprisingly' good. Satisfied, we roll back to Bellevue and soon go to bed.
