That was a day full of highlights. The last stretch was dotted with castles, prehistoric and modern buildings, as well as the magnificent Danube Gorge in Weltenburg. Since cycling is not possible there, we took the ferry, which took us upstream through the narrowest and deepest (20m) passage of the Danube in 40 minutes. Our accommodation was close to the monastery, so we could spend the late afternoon and early evening there. At 7 p.m., we were all alone in the magnificent monastery church. It's worth doing things differently ;) Then we cooled off in the Danube. Our accommodation had a fantastic view of the valley and the table under the apple tree with a view of the sunset was the backdrop for the Sunday film 'Cycling Happiness in Bavarian style'.
