Trondheim

After 4 days of driving, we arrive in Trondheim. We check in at Camping Flakke for three nights. This place is located right next to a ferry terminal. In addition, the major ferry lines or cruise ships pass by here. The heavy rain in the last few days limits the search for a spot a little bit. But we still find a spot that we are convinced will not sink into the mud and Polly will not get stuck in the grass when we leave (Other campers have already had to be pulled out of the mud...). After so much driving, we treat ourselves to a day of 'doing nothing'. This simply means that we take care of all the things that have been left behind in the last few days - laundry, shopping, emails, organizing, etc. On the last day, we visit Trondheim. Trondheim is a cozy, little town with a beautiful old town. There is a lot of activity here and many people out and about. We are not used to that anymore after weeks of being surrounded by nature. We don't have a specific destination and stroll through the city, visit the cathedral, and discover a small medieval market next door. We treat ourselves to an ice cream and somehow enjoy being back in civilization. After 3 nights, we make our way to the Atlantic Road.
