Fulda

We have visited the baroque city of Fulda several times and have seen many sights in Fulda.

To maybe discover some new corners, we decided to take a Scoutix tour, which we tried out as an app instead of on paper.

You explore the city from a starting point using a guided tour, following clues to the next location.

There are little puzzle questions along the way that you have to answer, and you usually find the solution in the vicinity of the current stop.

So we took a closer look at some buildings and inscriptions to find the right answers.

In between, we strolled through the old town and passed by the most important sights of the city.

This includes, for example, the St. Salvatore Cathedral in Fulda, which is the centerpiece of the Baroque quarter.

It is said to be the burial place of St. Boniface. In his assignment, Sturmius founded the Fulda Monastery in 744, which marked the beginning of the town's development.

At the intersection between the cathedral and the palace, there was a pedestrian light with Boniface: When it was red, he showed the raised cross, and when it was green, he showed the shepherd's staff.

Our walk ended in the Domdechaneigarten right next to the cathedral.

The garden is surrounded by walls, beautifully designed, and invites you to take a little break after the city walk.

In the evening, we saw the musical 'Robin Hood' in the palace - the actual reason for our stop in this beautiful city.
