We have arrived!

Done it! After about 24 hours of travel and over 30 hours on our feet, we have arrived at our first destination! Bangkok welcomed us with a New Year's fireworks display! What a start!

The flight with Air China was really comfortable and we even managed to get some sleep. It feels like we passed through all the climate zones on the way..... Leaving Cologne at 14 degrees, landing in Beijing at -2 degrees, and arriving in Bangkok at 32 degrees! The taxi ride to the hotel was also quite an adventure, although probably very moderate by Thai standards :-) But they don't really know child seats here, so we had the little ones sitting on our laps in the urban jungle!

Once we arrived at the hotel, we mustered up the energy to go out and grab a bite to eat, and it was worth it! If everything is this delicious, we won't just be coming back with overweight luggage! :-))

Speaking of luggage, our backpack weighs only 16kg, everything you need for a 3-month break! :-)
