Day 29 - Adelaide Central Market

We wake up after a somewhat restless night due to the noises of the big city and getting used to the soft bed, moderately rested. We chill in bed for a while and use the time for some research.

But soon we set off to find something for breakfast. We basically walk aimlessly in a general western direction. After 10 minutes, we unexpectedly find ourselves next to the entrance to the Adelaide Central Market - a huge fresh produce market with fruits, vegetables, baked goods, fish & meat, coffee, wine, etc. We stroll through the market aisles and get an idea of the products. We quickly agree that we will put together our breakfast here. So we find a fruit cup, a croissant, an almond croissant, and two cappuccinos. We leisurely look for a table in the market hall and enjoy our purchases. For the afternoon, we buy two apples at a large fruit and vegetable stand from a real Scharmbolz... She is really happy to be able to sell something...

Strengthened, we walk towards the university area, which leads us through various parks, over two bridges, and past several rowing club houses. The sun is getting stronger and warmer, so we soon end up in one of the big shopping centers. Naturally air-conditioned. Cooled down a bit, we stroll down the main shopping street. One purchase is still on our list... we specifically go to the outdoor shop Kathmandu and treat ourselves to a long-sleeved shirt with SPF 50 for Alice Springs.

Slowly our energy is running out and we need fuel. It will be a salad with the leftovers from Yoshi. Only the salad is missing. So we take a little detour to the market hall, get the salad, and walk back to our Airbnb. The salad is quickly prepared and gives us the necessary energy for the next item on the agenda: dinner with Michi, a friend from Switzerland who has been living and working in Adelaide for 1.5 years.

After a little rest from the city hustle and bustle and the meal, we rush to the Central Station to catch the train to Outer Harbor. With perfect timing, we catch the train. The 20-minute ride to Port Adelaide is entertaining. Once there, we wander through the streets with a lot of serenity, as Swiss punctuality has struck again. We meet Michi at the 'Pirat Life' brewery, which has an inviting outdoor and indoor area. We are happy to see him again and exchange the latest information. In addition to beer, Pirat Life also serves delicious food. In the spirit of sharing is caring, we order various dishes. Time flies by. Michi is so kind and drives us back to the city in his car, where we fall into bed satisfied and tired.

PS: today we are real street art hunters (see pictures)
