Day 8-9 Monopoli

Monopoli - 25.09-27.09.2024

On September 25, we arrived in Monopoli in the afternoon and met Chris and Ines downtown, who had already checked into their accommodation.

Together, we wandered through the city, ate pasta and pizza, and later in the evening met with a few local friends of Tom and Chris. We had some beers at the rock bar and then went to bed.

The next day started with cappuccino and a trip to a small cove for swimming. There, a cute cat joined us, quickly snuggling up to Tom just to bite and scratch him at the first moment. After that, we weren't very friendly to the kitten, and it quickly found new victims to bite.

Later, back in the city and freshly showered after a hearty tapas meal, Tom and Chris headed to the football match in Monopoli.

Ines, Pepper, and Lea spent the evening with a few drinks at the harbor. After another wrap-up of the day at the rock bar, we fell flat in bed around 1:30 AM.

A short but good sleep allowed us to depart early on September 27 for Ugento so we could check into the campsite before noon.
