on the road - Te Anau to Kaka Point

We did not drive directly to our destination today, but took the remote and more varied road via Manapouri - Riverton - Gore - Balclutha to Kaka Point.

It leads to the South Coast of the South Island, past cloud-covered mountain ranges, beautiful and lonely bays, and countless sheep and cattle. Our final stop is the farm of Ella and Guy in the middle of nowhere with a fantastic view of pure nature.

Here we would like to say a few words about the farm: Ella and Guy have a farm with about 200 hectares of land, their son has one with another 300 hectares, mainly for cattle and sheep. They originally come from the Netherlands, where they cultivated 20 hectares of land by comparison, but have been here in New Zealand for about 15 years now.
