Namaste,
finally Buddhism Arrival in Bodhgaya in the history Uruwela the place where Prince Gautama Siddhartha (Buddha) found enlightenment. Today a pilgrimage center for Buddhists from all over the world. Therefore, of course, a very peaceful place in the Indian state of Bihar, which seems to be a really poor state.
In the place you will find a number of different temples from the respective Buddhist countries. Represented are Thailand, China, Japan, Bhutan and so on, all very beautiful and formative, of course, for the respective country.
In the center of the town, the Mahabodhi Temple towers over a very beautiful complex in which all pilgrims practice their religion with prayers and chants.
On the second day, I took a Tuk Tuk again after the usual negotiation and drove to the Mahakala Cave where Buddha apparently practiced total asceticism until he recognized its futility and pilgrimaged to Uruwela / Bodhgaya.
In terms of temperature, it should shock me a little after the past weeks at 32 degrees, here on the morning of my arrival there were only 6 degrees and a maximum of 18 degrees during the day.
Unfortunately, after the second day, it was time to say goodbye again and take the train back to Kolkata.
