Third time is a charm!

Nəşr edilmişdir: 19.06.2018

After Lena yesterday, armed with two cell phones and the travel guide, fought against unexpected dead zones during the five-hour journey to find a campsite as our next home and meticulously compiled the results in a list, we decided relatively quickly this morning for a completely different one!

Somehow it fits into this vacation of contingencies. The night in the hotel was comparatively quiet; and that even though it is located right next to the train station in Perth. The house is aptly named "Station Hotel"! Unfortunately, I wasn't really aware of that when I booked it. But my performance in nine years of English at PGU was only rated "sufficient" for a reason! At the typical Scottish breakfast, I also dared to try the typical British black pudding. Warm blood sausage from the oven... that's a gourmet's delight! But it actually tasted very good. If you like Möppkenbrot, you can also eat these black rings. Much to the delight of our underage travel companion, the journey to the new tent domicile took less than an hour! However, there was enough time to send plenty of voice messages around the world (sorry for the spam, but somehow those 16,000 words a day have to get out). "My Lenia-Maria friend, I'm in Scotland right now! Please let everyone in kindergarten know that no one needs to worry!" Blindly trusting our navigation system, we almost turned our roof box into a convertible box just before reaching the destination, if Lena hadn't switched quickly enough to realize that our vehicle is currently taller than the permitted 1.80m. Luckily, we managed to reverse and drive a few hundred meters to the right in shock. Somehow my brain stops working in such situations and I forget the rule to drive on the left! But it's only the second time in almost two weeks... By the way, the campsite itself is quite satisfactory! The problem for us in making a decision was simply that we have been to two such fantastic campsites that everything around here feels like a disappointment! For example, there is a two-meter high fence separating us from the beach.

In Clachtoll it was sheep! Here, the regional express train passes through the village every hour and "disturbs" our peace (and that of the residents of the Frankfurt take-off route). In Arisaig it was cows and seagulls. On the other hand, it's warmer here and currently even windless. So we gladly ignore the rain that has just started! So, everything has its advantages and disadvantages, and now it's up to us to filter out the advantages of this area and its surroundings and minimize the negative circumstances to the smallest extent possible! And so we are currently planning (unrelenting or unteachable once again) the next few days and will start tomorrow (Wednesday) with a trip to Edinburgh!
