23rd day: Olympic National Park: 14.07.2018

Finally, a national park! The purpose and goal of this trip is to explore one national park after another in North America.

We were greeted by a beautiful alpine mountain world in the afternoon, after leaving our wonderful domicile by the sea.

Two short hikes brought us closer to the surroundings of Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park, a tiny section of the vast national park that is said to contain not only alpine areas but also beautiful coastlines and rainforests.

The program, led by a very friendly ranger, rounded off the whole experience.

A massive picnic with healthy food, salad, and guacamole at a picnic table was also great.

It was very nice to see deer grazing at the roadside, which were very trusting and had completely lost their fear of humans. The children even saw a marmot.

In the evening, I tried out the in-house grill, with a large flank steak and a rib eye. We had IPA beer and tap water for the ladies. A delicious and healthy day!

Our holiday home, which we have for three days, has turned out to be a little gem. Enough space for everyone and everything you need for living.
