Lake Clearwater and Lake Heron

After finally picking up our car registration at the flat and spending a few more hours there to say goodbye and refill and recharge everything, we set off at 7 pm in the evening. 😅💪

We went along a bumpy road with lots of animals, deep into the forest, where we were allowed to spend the night (a little creepy though 😣).

The next day, the campsite turned out to be very beautiful as it was right by the lake. 😍

We went for a short 3-hour hike (actually more like a walk 😅) around the lake. It was quite windy and we were still a bit tired from the drive and the hike the days before. 😴

After the hike, we continued by car to Lake Heron, which I only saw from the car, and Laura sat by the lake in the wind with her camping chair.

In the evening, we went to Lake Tekapo, where we were initially kicked out of the campsite because we were looking for a shower, even though the people before said it wouldn't be available without staying overnight... 😅🙄
