The small fishing village of Clovelly is located in Devon. The place is a real tourist attraction. We have never had to pay an entrance fee to visit a village before. First, you are guided through a visitor building. The entrance fee is £7.50 per person and we are given a wristband. A path paved with round pebbles leads steeply down to the village. My flip-flops were not a particularly good idea that day... This is a car-free zone. The residents transport their belongings they need for their lives down the narrow streets with donkeys or wooden sledges. A very quaint little village with a beautiful fishing harbor. Most of the old cottages are very nicely renovated, others are unfortunately already a bit dilapidated. A fisherman's house is open and furnished in the style of old times.
