Crazy House and Waterfalls

Uñt’ayata: 04.02.2018

Yesterday (03.02.18) we walked to the Crazy House in the afternoon. It is a large complex that includes houses with many intertwined stairs and corridors. It looks like something out of Alice in Wonderland. I can't describe it exactly, but it's best to see it in the pictures :) We had a delicious banana shake there and then went back to the city. We went to the hostel where Rene had slept because we wanted to buy a bus ticket there. There was an open bus ticket advertised for only 220,000 Dong. That's less than 10 € and it takes us from Dalat to Mui Ne and from Mui Ne to Saigon whenever we want. You can use this ticket whenever you want. When we wanted to buy it, the hostel owner called the travel agency and suddenly said that he had to ask if the prices weren't higher because New Year is coming up in Vietnam. Suddenly the ticket should cost 350,000 Dong. We politely declined and tried our luck at the travel agency where we rented the mopeds the day before yesterday. I noticed that it's exactly the same travel agency the hostel owner called and where you buy the bus tickets. Nevertheless, we got it for 220,000 Dong. So the owner wanted to rip us off. You can't trust anyone :D Well, we have our ticket now and will leave for Mui Ne tomorrow afternoon. After that, we sat down in a cute restaurant and had bruschetta and onion nachos as an appetizer and then a delicious chicken curry with a Pepsi for Tim and a Cola for me. It was delicious and really relaxing. And all for just 5€ :D

Today (04.02.18) we rented a moped and drove 40 km to the Pongour Waterfall. It is huge and goes downhill in steps that you can partly walk on. Then we drove further to the Elephant Waterfall. On the way there, stones got stuck in the wheel bearing. It made terrible squeaking noises and we didn't think we would make it home in one piece, but we did. Just keep your eyes and ears shut :D The Elephant Waterfall is 30 m high and you can climb to it over stones. It was fun. Now we're waiting for 6:30 p.m. so that we can join the Family Dinner at the hostel. It's an all you can eat buffet and we're hungry :D
