Today we drove back to Quito. Interestingly, you always have to provide your ID number when buying a ticket. And for those who think buses in South America are always late, they are mistaken. Our bus actually left 5 minutes early. So it's better to be at the bus station very early.
This time there was a disaster movie playing during the trip, about an earthquake in California. I preferred that over a movie about volcanic eruptions in Ecuador. There is a belt of active volcanoes running through Ecuador 😬. Baños is located on the Tungurahua volcano. You can see evacuation signs all over town. It apparently erupts occasionally 😳.
Unfortunately, Milo couldn't uphold the family honor.
Christoph also raves about Colombia.
