We started today at 7 o'clock from Kingston to Pukekura. From mountains and beautiful lakes to the sea, rainforest, beaches, and occasionally a glacier :) It all started next to Wanaka, crossing the Haast Pass to Knights Point, a very beautiful and curvy road to drive on. The weather was like always for you. Sometimes very nice and then not so nice, but always pleasantly 25°C. We continued next to Fox Glacier and passed by Franz Josef Glacier. There, we walked about 800m towards the glacier. It took about 3 hours round trip. When we returned, we went in search of a free camping spot. We found one in Pukekura, where we relaxed in front of a huge beach that seemed endless, with mountains in the background, simply beautiful. An elderly man with his ancient Landrover then drove about 80 meters with his three dogs. Two were in the front seat and one on the loading ramp, right on the beach :) It really shows his passion, hahah. We had dinner and watched the sunset, and then went to bed. And for the first time, we had to deal with those infamous sandflies. Aiaiaiai.
