Mi 25.8. Sæbø - Kvistadtal

All day it is raining more or less, in the evening the clouds clear up.

Due to the wet weather, we take it easy today. At around 11:00 am we drive to Kvistadtal by car and do the hike that we started 14 years ago. Back then, we were wearing t-shirts and couldn't go far because of the hardened snow. But we remember this view of the little lake very well.

Today we are climbing from 550m to 875m in rainproof hiking clothes. It is drizzling most of the time, rain or low-hanging clouds, it is windy and cold, around 9°.

We are steadily ascending, climbing over logs and rocks, crossing rivers and scree fields, our hiking poles are serving us well.

We reach the mountain ridge with a view of the lakes in Kwamsdal, and rejoice at every break in the clouds that gives us a view of the steep rocky peaks above us and the opposing peaks with snow fields.

It is a good feeling to continue something started from the past in the present with this hike, and very exciting to see the changes.

Tired and very wet, but satisfied, we return to our cabin in the afternoon.
